The superalgebras sl(1{vert_bar}2) and osp(2{vert_bar}2) are isomorphic. Their Casimir operators have been published in the form of a quadratic ({ital K}{sub 2}) and a cubic ({ital K}{sub 3}) operator for sl(1{vert_bar}2) and a quadratic ({ital I}{sub 2}) and a quartic ({ital I}{sub 4}) operator for osp(2{vert_bar}2). In this note we derive the algebraic relations between both sets of Casimir operators. {copyright} {ital 1996 American Institute of Physics.}
