Decay of hollow atoms

Journal Article · · Bulletin of the American Physical Society
OSTI ID:394206
The authors report here on calculations of atomic structure, x-ray and Auger transition rates, transition energies, and fluorescence yields of several hollow atoms. They have considered hollow atoms of the following type: (1) doubly-excited helium-like hollow ions of configuration nlnl{prime}=3,4; (2) doubly-excited lithium-like systems of configurations 1snln{prime}l{prime} with n,n{prime}=3,4; (3) hollow atoms of configuration 1s{sup o}2s{sup m}2p{sup n} with m=0-2 and n=1-6; and (4) hollow atoms of configurations 1s{sup 1}2s{sup m}2p{sup n} with m=0-2 and n=1-6. The calculations have been done in the intermediate coupling scheme using multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock Method.
