Growth within the directional crossing contractor industry has been relatively strong over the past 12 months. Since this time last year, the number of directional drilling contractors owning rigs with a pullback capacity in excess of 50,000 pounds has increased from 47 to 54, or about 15 percent. The work performance of these contractors to carry out drilled crossings of rivers, bays, highways, canals and other obstacles is a proven technology with a strong track record. The paper lists data on 54 contractors, including names, address, telephone number, specifications on drilling rigs available, and additional comments on company activities.
