Pipeline and Gas Journal`s 1998 large census of horizontal directional drilling contractors demonstrates the continued growth and popularity of this technology. For the purposes of this census, they`ve used the widely accepted industry definition for large rigs as having over 100,000 pounds of pull-back force.
