Measurement of the {ital W} Boson Mass

A measurement of the mass of the {ital W} boson is presented based on a sample of 5982 {ital W}{r_arrow}{ital e}{nu} decays observed in {bar {ital pp}} collisions at {radical}{ital s}=1.8 TeV with the D0 detector during the 1992{endash}1993 run. From a fit to the transverse mass spectrum, combined with measurements of the {ital Z} boson mass, the {ital W} boson mass is measured to be {ital M}{sub {ital W}}=80.350{plus_minus}0.140(stat){plus_minus}0.165(syst){plus_minus}0.160(scal )GeV/{ital c}{sup 2}. {copyright} {ital 1996 The American Physical Society.}
