The low-lying nuclear structures of the neutron-deficient lead nuclei are dominated by neutron single particle excitations. A highly deformed prolate rotational band, characteristic of superdeformation, has been identified in {sup 194}Pb. Another structure characterized by fast M1 transitions, and large B(Ml)/B(E2) ratios ({approx} 20 {mu}{sup 2}/e{sup 2}b{sup 2}), has also been observed. This structure is interpreted as a collective oblate rotational band with small deformation. Thus, the neutron-deficient nucleus, {sup 194}Pb, is one of the best examples of shape-coexistence known with spherical single particle, and collective prolate and oblate excitations present. We will discuss our most recent studies of the nuclear structure of {sup 194}Pb, using data collected at the Early Implementation of GAMMASPHERE.
