The spin-dependent asymmetry in quasielastic scattering of lon-gitudinally polarized electrons from a polarized. The target was measured at MIT Bates at Q{sup 2} = 0.2 (GeV/c){sup 2} with an incident beam energy of 370 MeV. A cryogenic, polarized {sup 3}He gas target using a metastability-exchange optical pumping technique was employed in this experiment. The target was operated at 13K with a density of about 1.5 x 10{sup 18} cm{sup -3}. The MEPS magnetic spectrometer was used to detect scattered electrons at kinematics corresponding to {tilde q} being parallel to the target spin ({theta}* = 9.4{degrees}). We present results for the extracted transverse asymmetry, A{sub TL}, as a function of energy transfer in the range 94 < {omega} < 144 MeV. The transverse asymmetry is expected to be sensitive to the neutron magnetic form factor, G{sub M}{sup n}. Using a different technique we measured G{sup n}{sub M} at low Q{sup 2} with similar precision to other techniques.
