The decay of {sup 181}Pt to {sup 181}Ir has been studied by {gamma} {gamma}t, {gamma} xt, e{gamma}t, and ext coincidence spectroscopy, and {gamma}- and e-multispectrum scaling. Sources of {sup 181}Pt were produced indirectly from {Beta}{sup +} decay of {sup 181}Au following the {sup 175}Lu({sup 16}O, 10n){sup 181}Au reaction, produced by {sup 16}O{sup +6} ions from the Holifield Heavy Ion Research Facility. Sources were mass- separated on-line using UNISOR. A decay scheme consisting of 25 levels and 70 transitions has been constructed. Gamma-ray gated conversion electron spectra provide a number of electron subshell ratios. The levels of {sup 181}Ir will be discussed in terms of the Nilsson configurations 1/2-541,1/2{sup +} 400,3/2{sup +} 402,5/2{sup +} 402 and the systematics of neighboring odd-A Ir isotopes.
