The symposium is intended to provide a forum for selection, analysis, design, synthesis, characterization, numerical simulations, micro- and macromechanics, manufacturing, attachments, practicability and utilization of materials in machines, equipment, exploration, extraction, transportation and conversion of energy sources, as well as computational methods, numerical simulation techniques, analysis and design. This year`s symposium has sessions specifically devoted to manufacture and design of composite materials, experimental and analytical methods in composites, homogenization and micromechanics of composites, analysis of composite materials, computational methods and numerical simulation, as well as computational methods for singular problems in computational mechanics. Separate abstracts were prepared for most papers in this book.
