Recent experiments with polarized few-nucleon systems

Journal Article · · Bulletin of the American Physical Society

Several experiments using polarized deuterium and polarized {sup 3}He at Mainz, NIKHEF, Novosibirsk, Bates and IUCF were recently completed or are currently underway. The data from these experiments provide insight into the two-and three-body systems, complementing ongoing theoretical work by several groups on rigorous calculations of the spin-dependent properties of the few-nucleon systems. Here, the experiments are described and their data, including information about the electromagnetic form factors of the neutron obtained from polarized {sup 3}He, are presented.
