Ligated Cluster Building Blocks as Chemical Donors and Acceptors for Two-Dimensional Metal Chalcogenides and Phosphorene Nanoribbons

Technical Report ·
DOI:https://doi.org/10.2172/2999993· OSTI ID:2999993
Final report for studies on ligated transition metal chalcogenide clusters building blocks for serving as dopants in two dimensional semiconductors. The primary result is extending the superatom concept to transition metal chalcogenide clusters including a similarity with the perioidic electronic structures that are found in the periodic table. These results have found both new magic numbers, and new magic clusters with large spin magnetic moments.
