A possibility to present the collective state wave functions of the triaxial rotor as multiple {open_quote}{open_quote}{ital Q} excitations{close_quote}{close_quote} built on the ground state is analyzed. It is shown that for arbitrary {gamma} the wave functions of the low lying states of the ground and other bands are approximately pure multiple {open_quote}{open_quote}{ital Q} excitation{close_quote}{close_quote} states with an accuracy better than 75{percent}. {copyright} {ital 1996 The American Physical Society.}
