This report provides the results from tests that were performed on a DM100 system with LAW Sub-Envelope A2 and Bl feeds in support of the subsequent Pilot Melter tests. The principal objectives of the DM100 tests were to determine the processing characteristics as the simulated melter feed transitioned from the LAW Sub-Envelope A2 to the Sub-Envelope Bl composition. Of particular interest was the presence or absence of secondary salt phases because of their potential deleterious effects on melter lifetime and product quality.
