The C(n, alpha) reactions from threshold to 30 MeV

New measurements of alpha-particle emission from carbon bombarded with neutrons have been carried out with the spallation neutron source at WNR/LAMPF. Double differential cross sections were measured for neutron energies from threshold to 30 MeV and for emission angles of 30, 60, 90, and 135 degrees. The present experiment concentrates on alpha particle energies above 10 MeV. The importance of these data to the calculation of kerma factors will be presented.
