By replacing part of the neutron moderator material CH{sub 2} with lead in Andersson-Braun remmeter, the Pb(n,xn) reactions at high neutron energy will increase the sensitivity of the remmeter. Monte Carlo calculations have been carried out for both standard and modified Andersson-Braun remmeters with monoenergetic neutrons (up to 1 GeV), the result of response enhancement agreed with measurements at several high neutron energies. Other possible improvements have also been explored, the results will be discussed.
