Search for excited electrons and leptoquarks at H1

The authors present first results on a search for excited leptons and leptoquarks with the H1 detector at HERA. The data were extracted from low Q{sup 2} collisions of 26.7 GeV electrons with 820 GeV protons with a luminosity of 27nb{sup {minus}1}. By assuming a fixed coupling of {lambda} = 0.3 the lower mass limit of the leptoquark is raised above the CDF and UA2 limits. A previously unexplored excited lepton mass region is also explored.
