{sup 3}He({gamma}, p) x with polarized photons

The LEGS facility at BNL was used to measure cross sections and photon asymmetries for the inclusive proton spectra. Photons of energies 190 {le} E{sub {gamma}} {le} 305 MeV were incident on a liquid {sup 3}He target. The protons were detected at lab angles 20{degrees} {le} {theta}{sub p} {le} 160{degrees} with a threshold of 45 MeV. Asymmetries for the quasideuteron component are compared with real deuteron data and the quasideuteron number in {sup 3}He is extracted with the use of Monte Carlo cascade calculation.
