  1. Dynamic Monitoring Systems, Missouri City, TX (United States)

An on-line corrosion and bacteria monitoring system has been adapted for use on wet-gas pipelines, and has successfully operated to measure corrosion rates and bacteria in the line. Corrosion rates and bacteria levels in the pipeline were low due to treatment of the line with a water-soluble di-amine type corrosion inhibitor which is effective against bacteria. An inhibitor optimization program will be instituted based upon monitoring of corrosion and bacteria during adjustment of the inhibitor treating rate.
