Approximately 50 people attended this panel session which focused on the successes and challenges in DOE high-level radioactive tank waste management with special emphasis on tank waste processing and waste disposition. Panelists discussed approaches, results, and lessons learned in addressing challenges in construction, start-up, and processing of tank waste and its ultimate disposition that is critical to tank waste management at Hanford, Savannah River, and Idaho sites. Presentations proposed include: 1 - Liquid Waste Program at the Savannah River Site (James Folk, US DOE (USA)); 2 - Progress on Hanford's Tank Waste Treatment Mission (Tom Fletcher, US DOE (USA)); 3 - Idaho Tank Waste Program (Joel Case, US DOE (USA))
