Unsaturated absorption coefficients are measured using a tunable CO{sub 2} laser in pure CO{sub 2} and CO{sub 2}:O{sub 2} = 1:2 and CO{sub 2}:N{sub 2} = 1:2 gas mixtures at the central frequencies of the R(8), R(22), P(8), P(22), and P(36) CO{sub 2} 10{sup 0}0–00{sup 0}1 transition lines under a pressure of 100 Torr in the temperature range 300–700 K. The collisional broadening coefficients of the CO{sub 2} spectral lines by O{sub 2} and N{sub 2} are obtained. The temperature dependences of these coefficients are approximated by power functions with two different exponents.
