New measurements of polarized valence and sea quark distributions of the nucleon in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering

We have measured semi-inclusive spin asymmetries for positively and negatively charged hadrons from polarized protons and deuterons and we have determined the polarized quark distributions {delta}u{sub v}(x), {delta}d{sub v}(x) and {delta}q-bar(x) of the valence and the non-strange sea quarks. Our results for the first moments of the polarized valence quark distributions are in good agreement with results obtained from the axial matrix elements F and D. The second moments are consistent with lattice QCD predictions.
