Top quark: New results from the Tevatron

We present the recent results on the measurements of tt-bar production cross section in pp-bar collisions at {radical}(s)=1.8 TeV and the mass of the top quark by the two collider experiments, DOe and CDF at Fermilab. The results are based on analyses of {approx}125 pb{sup -1} of data collected by each experiment. The DOe measurements are {sigma}(pp-bar{yields}tt-bar)=5.5{+-}1.8 pb and m{sub t}=173.3{+-}5.6(stat.){+-}6.2(syst.) GeV/c{sup 2} (the cross section is measured at m{sub t}=173.3 GeV/c{sup 2}). The CDF measurements are 7.5{sub -1.6}{sup +1.9} pb and 176.8{+-}4.4(stat.){+-}4.8(syst.) GeV/c{sup 2} respectively. The two experiments have combined their mass measurements to m{sub t}=175.6{+-}5.5 GeV/c{sup 2}.
