There are now 5 Pressurized Fluidized Bed Combined Cycle (PFBC) units in operation worldwide, all of the 80 MW ABB P200 type. Operational experience from these plants gives invaluable input to the design and evaluation of future PFBC units, P200`s as well as the 350--375 NW P800. The first P800 is currently being built and several others are being studied. This paper describes an update of the earlier reported availability and reliability model that reflects the expected reliability of the 750 MW (2*P800) PFBC plant and its main systems and components (93 JPGC PWR-16). It includes analyses of experiences from the operating plants, as well as improvements and activities that have come out of these results. A discussion about future trends and learning curve analysis is included in this paper.
