Two astrophysical reactions, {sup 22}Mg(p,{gamma}){sup 23}Al and {sup 26}Si(p,{gamma}){sup 27}P, were investigated by using the Coulomb breakup of proton-rich isotopes {sup 23}Al and {sup 27}P. The radiative widths determined from the cross sections suggest that the {beta}{sup +} decay of {sup 22}Mg is favored over the {sup 22}Mg(p,{gamma}){sup 23}Al reaction, while {sup 26}Si(p,{gamma}){sup 27}P reaction is faster than the {beta}{sup +} decay of {sup 26}Si around the peak temperature of heavy novae. Two-neutron knockout reactions of the proton-rich sd-shell isotopes {sup 26}Si, {sup 30}S, and {sup 34}Ar were also studied. The measured branching ratios are well reproduced by a theoretical calculation which takes into account nucleon-nucleon correlation in a nucleus.
