Inner-shell photodetachment of He{sup -} is studied near the He{sup -} 1s2s2p {sup 4}P{sup o}{yields}He 2s2p {sup 3}P{sup o} threshold. The spectrum over this region shows significant suppression of He{sup +} signal production due to postcollision interaction (PCI) effects. The observed shape and absolute cross section are in general agreement with theoretical predictions when corrections for semiclassical PCI effects are included.
