Experimental study of {eta}{sub c} decays into vector-vector final states

Using 58 million J/{psi} events accumulated with the BES II detector, branching fractions for the {eta}{sub c}{yields}VV decays, {eta}{sub c}{yields}{rho}{rho}, {eta}{sub c}{yields}K*K*, {eta}{sub c}{yields}{omega}{omega}, and {eta}{sub c}{yields}{phi}{phi}, are measured. The branching fractions are Br({eta}{sub c}{yields}{rho}{rho})=(1.23{+-}0.37{+-}0.50)x10{sup -2}, Br({eta}{sub c}{yields}K*K*)=(10.3{+-}2.6{+-}4.3)x10{sup -3}, Br({eta}{sub c}{yields}{omega}{omega})<6.3x10{sup -3} (90% C.L.), and Br({eta}{sub c}{yields}{phi}{phi})=(2.5{+-}0.5{+-}0.9)x10{sup -3}. The process {eta}{sub c}{yields}{omega}{phi} is also searched for, and the 90% C.L. upper limit Br({eta}{sub c}{yields}{omega}{phi})<1.7x10{sup -3} is obtained for this process.
