{sup 3}P{sub 0} quark-creation mechanism for {eta}{sub c} decay to vector meson pairs

Exclusive decays of {eta}{sub c} into vector meson pairs ({phi}{phi}, {rho}{rho}, K*K*, {omega}{omega}, {omega}{phi}) are investigated in the framework of the {sup 3}P{sub 0} quark-creation model. While these decay widths are zero in the leading order of {alpha}{sub s} in the perturbative QCD scheme, the {sup 3}P{sub 0} quark-creation mechanism gives results comparable with experimental data. We also calculate the rates of {gamma}({eta}{sub c}(2S){yields}VV)/{gamma}({eta}{sub c}{yields}VV). The results show different behavior from those decay modes allowed by perturbative QCD in leading order.
