The desulfurization of finely disseminated pyrite in coal with new technology

Conference ·
OSTI ID:20082380
China is a country of large coal production, quite a quantity of which is of high sulfur. With the increase of mining depth, more production of high sulfur coal is expected. To make full use of the high sulfur coal and decrease the air pollution from its combustion are urgent problems for coal preparation to be solved. Good coking coal is rare in China, most of which, in addition, is also of high sulfur; most pyrite in coal are finely disseminated in size of minus several tens of micron. This paper deals with the removal of finely disseminated pyrite in coal with a technology of ultra-fine grinding followed by selective coagulation-flotation. The results of good desulfurization are acquired with efficient depressor XW developed for the separation process.
