Desulfurization of coal

Conference ·
OSTI ID:20082371
This paper mainly describes the desulfurization of coal whose sulfur was finely disseminated. Selective oil agglomeration was adopted to process the MXP coal which has 1.6% sulfur and 16% ash. The key technology of selective oil agglomeration are ultra-fine grinding, advanced processing technology and fine particle dewatering. Owing to fine grinding, the finely-disseminated pyrite can be separated from coal matrix. After a lot of experiments, the sulfur content in coal was reduced from 1.6% to 1.1% and the recovery was more than 50%.
