Progress in the China Shenhua coal liquefaction project

Based on the agreement between Hydrocarbon Technologies, Inc. (HTI) and China Shenhua Clean Coal Technology Development Company (Shenhua) and China Coal Research Institute (CCRI), HTI tested three coal samples, as part of the feasibility study on China Shenhua coal direct liquefaction plant commercial project. The three coal samples are Ningtiaota No. 2 and No. 3 coals and Shangwan coal, all from China Shenhua coalfield, owned by Shenhua Group Corporation, Ltd., parent company of Shenhua Clean Coal Technology Development Company. Shenhua coalfield is one of the seven largest coalfields in the world and the largest developing coal field in China. The Shenhua coal reserves feature shallow deposit, simple structure, and stable distribution.
