Tl-NMR study on high-{Tc} oxides TlM{sub 2}CaCu{sub 2}O{sub 7{minus}{delta}} (M=Ba, Sr): Spin-gap in underdoped and overdoped systems

Journal Article · · Journal of Low Temperature Physics
The Spin-lattice relaxation rate T{sub 1}{sup {minus}1} and the Knight shift have been measured for Tl-based cuprates TlBa{sub 2}CaCu{sub 2}O{sub 7+{delta}} (TB1212) and TlSr{sub 2} Y{sub 1{minus}x}Ca{sub x}Cu{sub 2}O{sub 7+{delta}} (TS1212). In the underdoped sample of TS1212 with {Tc} = 34K. (T{sub 1}T){sup {minus}1} showed a gap-like behavior from the temperature T{sub sg} = 120K. As for the slightly overdoped sample of TB1212 with {Tc} = 80K. both the Knight shift and (T{sub 1}T){sup {minus}1} showed a significant decrease from 160K. suggesting the existing of the spin-gap not only around q{approx{underscore}equal}({pi},{pi}), but also q{approx{underscore}equal}0.
