Observation of the energy gap above {Tc} in (Bi,Pb){sub 2}Sr{sub 2}Ca{sub 2}Cu{sub 3}O{sub 10+{delta}} using break-junction tunneling

Journal Article · · Journal of Low Temperature Physics
Tunneling measurements of (Bi,Pb){sub 2}Sr{sub 2}Ca{sub 2}Cu{sub 3}O{sub 10+{delta}} have been carried out with break junction to study the gap feature above {Tc} = 106 K. The decreasing gap magnitude with increasing the temperature does not disappear at {Tc} for the most significant data. The gap-closing temperature is found to be T* {approx{underscore}equal} 160 K.
