Evaluating Impacts of Innovations on Operations and Maintenance Costs Using a New Open-Source Model

Conference ·
OSTI ID:1891207
This presentation introduces a new, open-source, process-based operations and maintenance cost model for onshore and offshore wind plants. We describe the structure and functionality of this model and use it to compare two strategies for major component repairs on floating offshore wind turbines: tow-to-port and in situ replacement.
