A survey of colleges offering undergraduate degrees in nuclear engineering was conducted. The goal of the Survey was to identify the types of courses that are being offered to individuals studying nuclear engineering. The emphasis of the courses was compared with current needs in the nuclear industry to determine if undergraduates were being adequately prepared for the types of positions that would be available to them. In general, the educational institutions do not appear to be offering all the types of courses that are needed to adequately prepare students to enter the workforce.
