Materials Data on CrGaIr2 by Materials Project
CrIr2Ga crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two CrIr2Ga ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Cr is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ir atoms. Both Cr–Ir bond lengths are 2.12 Å. Ir is bonded in a linear geometry to one Cr and one Ga atom. The Ir–Ga bond length is 2.40 Å. Ga is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ir atoms.
