NaHg2Sb crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two NaHg2Sb ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Na1+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Hg1+ atoms. Both Na–Hg bond lengths are 2.97 Å. Hg1+ is bonded in a linear geometry to one Na1+ and one Sb3- atom. The Hg–Sb bond length is 3.08 Å. Sb3- is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Hg1+ atoms.
