Materials Data on Tl2HgSb by Materials Project
HgTl2Sb crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two HgTl2Sb ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Hg1+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Tl1+ atoms. Both Hg–Tl bond lengths are 2.99 Å. Tl1+ is bonded in a linear geometry to one Hg1+ and one Sb3- atom. The Tl–Sb bond length is 2.75 Å. Sb3- is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Tl1+ atoms.
