Hg2InPb crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Hg2InPb ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Hg is bonded in a linear geometry to one In and one Pb atom. The Hg–In bond length is 2.99 Å. The Hg–Pb bond length is 2.96 Å. In is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Hg atoms. Pb is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Hg atoms.
