Materials Data on CaYMg2 by Materials Project
CaMg2Y crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two CaMg2Y ribbons oriented in the (0, 1, 0) direction. Ca is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Mg atoms. Both Ca–Mg bond lengths are 3.44 Å. Mg is bonded in a linear geometry to one Ca and one Y atom. The Mg–Y bond length is 3.20 Å. Y is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Mg atoms.
