Materials Data on La2ZnHg by Materials Project
La2HgZn crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two La2HgZn ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. La is bonded in a linear geometry to one Hg and one Zn atom. The La–Hg bond length is 3.12 Å. The La–Zn bond length is 2.94 Å. Hg is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent La atoms. Zn is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent La atoms.
