Activity of cracking catalysts containing zeolites with different SiO{sub 2}/Al{sub 2}O{sub 3} ratios
The activity of cracking catalysts can be increased by introducing the sodium or rate earth form of zeolites into their composition. By changing the zeolite content in the amorphous aluminosilicate matrix of the catalyst one can vary not only its activity but also its selectivity toward specific products (benzene and olefins) during cracking of petroleum fractions. The aims of this present study were to investigate the activity and selectivity of cracking catalysts containing zeolites with different SiO{sub 2}/Al{sub 2}O{sub 3} ratios, to determine their dynamic activities, and to elucidate the way in which these depend on the SiO{sub 2}/Al{sub 2}O{sub 3} ratios in the aluminosilicate zeolite catalysts during the cracking of vacuum gas oil. 11 refs., 1 fig., 2 tabs.
