P-violating neutron spin rotation angle is being measured in the p-wave resonance of {sup 139}La with a new apparatus developed at KEK. Present status and preliminary results of the measurement is reported in this paper. The value of parity mixing matrix element in the compound state deduced from the result is consistent with the theoretical prediction within the experimental errors. {copyright} {ital 1995} {ital American} {ital Institute} {ital of} {ital Physics}.
