Formation behavior of new amorphous and composite materials in detonation gun and plasma spraying

Massive metallic glasses in the form of amorphous coatings were produced by detonation gun spraying. The paper summarizes structural characterization results and properties of the amorphous and amorphous-crystalline coatings. Detonation gun and plasma coatings containing amorphous phase are found to have similar morphologies that result in similar behavior of coating properties.
