The absorption properties of the hydride-forming intermetallics M{sub 2}Fe(M = Zr, Hf, Ti) and their effect on the aromatization of ethane over Pt,Ga/HCVM catalyst within the temperature range 400-450 {degrees}C are studied. The absorption capacity of the intermetallics under aromatization conditions and their efficiency as hydrogen acceptors are shown to decrease in the order Zr{sub 2}Fe>Ti{sub 2}Fe>Hf{sub 2}Fe.
