The Analytical Laboratory at the Materials and Fuels Complex provides quality analytical results through a variety of instrumental methods. The work of the Counting and Radiochemistry Group focuses on several instrumental techniques: Gamma Spectrometry, Liquid Scintillation Counting, Gas Flow Proportional Counting, and Alpha Spectrometry. This talk will focus on an overview of the Counting and Radiochemistry's capabilities, and will briefly discuss some of the sample preparation methods currently in use by the group.
