TRAINING SYSTEMS IN RADIOCHEMISTRY AND RADIOISOTOPE ENGINEERING

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4817558
Training systems were developed as mock-up experiments for laboratory studies in radiochemistry and nuclear ergineering. The systems are given in three groups: radiochemical instrumentation group, industrial gaging group, and research and process analysis group. Training units covered include liquid scintillation counting C/sup 4/ and tritium, low-level beta counting, monitoring of natural radon, tracer leak detection, gamma spectrometer, solid state alpha detectors, beta thickness gaging, density and level gaging, tracer flow rates training, tracer wear studies, gas chromatography and radiotracer system, and carbon-hydrogen analyzer.
