Presentation discussing Flameless Pressurized Oxy-combustion (FPO) technology's: philosophy and performance vs. traditional combustion, added value, and development path. Also overviewed is the large pilot planning with an update on DOE Project DE-FE0031580, cycle diagram, and plan for commercial-scale cycle. A summary of the projected cost of electricity for FPO with carbon capture, comparing to pulverized coal technology. New-build and retrofit FPO with PRB coal is compared. FPO new-build retrofit potential outlook for commercialization is addressed.
