This paper will be presented to the "Sensitivity and Uncertainty Methods" subgroup of the "Mathematics and Computation Division" of the ANS Winter Symposium. Direct comparisons are made via simulation between the Wilks' non-parametric and Gaussian (parametric) methods which are applied in the SASQUATCH and SINDA-SAMPLE thermal-hydraulic codes, respectively, for the Advanced Test Reactor safety basis. The level of relative conservatism is quantified for the Wilks method and shown to be greater than the parametric method for an equivalent probability and confidence level.
