Measurement of the $B^0$ - $$\bar{B}^0$$ Mixing Parameter Using Dimuon Events Collected with the D0 Detector
- Arizona U.
The D0 experiment at Fermilab has determined the $$B^0 - \bar{B}^0$$ mixing probability x using dimuon events produced in $$p\bar{p}$$ collisions at $$\sqrt{s}$$ = 1.8 TeV. Using a sample of 183 dimuon events, we have determined the time and flavor averaged mixing probability $$\chi$$ to be 0.09 ± 0.04( stat) ± 0.03( sys) in agreement with the present world average for this parameter
