Surficial geologic map of the Specter Range NW quadrangle, Nye County, Nevada

The study of the surficial geology of the Specter Range NW quadrangle was undertaken in order to locate faults that displace Quaternary deposits in the Yucca Mountain region. Work was done in cooperation with the US Department of Energy, Nevada Nuclear Waste Storage Investigations Project, as part of an evaluation of a potential high-level radioactive waste repository at Yucca Mountain, approximately 35 km to the northwest. This report contains a map. 9 refs.
